Local H will auction off a private concert on eBay starting July 17. The minimum bid is $500 to cover travel
expenses, and the auction closes on July 26.

From “Localh.com”:

Ebay Auction Winner Identified -.And his name is KRAK! Yes, the winner of the eBay auction held for a free Local H show has been identified as 40-year-old Chicago area entrepreneur Kevin Krak. "I have been a fan of Local H for several years but had not seen a show when I won the auction. I originally saw news about the auction on MTV.com and that it was a great idea and could be a lot of fun," said Mr. Krak.

The free show, which will take place on Saturday December 14, 2002, will be held at Duke O'Brien's www.dukeobriens.com in Crystal Lake, IL - approximately 50 miles outside of Chicago. The down home pub / restaurant, which holds roughly 275 people, is a favorite of Mr. Krak. Show time is at 11:00pm.

How much would you pay to see rock act Local H in your home? Fans can answer that question through online auction site eBay.com, where the band is taking bids for a live performance to be held more or less anywhere the winning bidder wants the band to play (subject to certain terms and conditions posted with the auction and available by E-mailing info@smgmusic.com). Bidding, which will run through July 26, began at $500, enough to cover the band's expenses; at deadline it had reached $6,000 from 64 bids.

Released in March, Local H's latest album, "Here Comes the Zoo" (Palm), debuted at No. 13 on Billboard's Top Internet Albums chart. The band is on tour, and performs tonight (July 18) in Billings, Mon., opening for Nickelback. For more on the band's current dates, visit the official Local H Web site.
