Auction Winner Identified -.And his name is KRAK! Yes, the winner of
the eBay auction held for a free Local H show has been identified as
40-year-old Chicago area entrepreneur Kevin Krak. "I have been a fan
of Local H for several years but had not seen a show when I won the
auction. I originally saw news about the auction on MTV.com and that it
was a great idea and could be a lot of fun," said Mr. Krak.
The free
show, which will take place on Saturday December 14, 2002, will be held
at Duke O'Brien's www.dukeobriens.com in Crystal Lake, IL -
approximately 50 miles outside of Chicago. The down home pub /
restaurant, which holds roughly 275 people, is a favorite of Mr. Krak.
Show time is at 11:00pm.

would you pay to see rock act Local H in your home? Fans can answer
that question through online auction site eBay.com, where the band is
taking bids for a live performance to be held more or less anywhere the
winning bidder wants the band to play (subject to certain terms and
conditions posted with the auction and available by E-mailing
info@smgmusic.com). Bidding, which will run through July 26, began at
$500, enough to cover the band's expenses; at deadline it had reached
$6,000 from 64 bids.
Released
in March, Local H's latest album, "Here Comes the Zoo"
(Palm), debuted at No. 13 on Billboard's Top Internet Albums chart. The
band is on tour, and performs tonight (July 18) in Billings, Mon.,
